Pyrénées : 389 La Boutique, a new gallery dedicated to young visual artists

Perched up the hill of Belleville, a few steps away from the Pyrénées metro station, 389 La Boutique features young artists combining illustration, pop culture, design and street art.

For its two Parisan founders, this new address is “more than gallery, it is a space dedicated to multidisciplinary expression, to sharing contemporary and urban artworks”. They intend to “support young creatives, regardless of their preferred techniques: canvas, prints, illustrations, sculptures, accessories”.

The current catalog of 389 La Boutique brings together a dozen artists, mostly based in Paris. The walls of the gallery feature Media‘s pop compositions and Moon Artclub‘s inspired acrylics. Street artists are also well-represented, with pieces by the talented Limo, Mister Copy, Olson, Omouck, and Sifat. The gallery recently welcomed local illustrator-architect Clément Gy, and there’s no doubt many more artists will follow!

The boutique also features items related to pop culture, earrings conceived by La brute époque, as well as dishware and decoration by the collective Petit Bol. The team of the gallery hopes to organize events and launch new activities once the health crisis is finally behind us, including a partnership with a local radio station to broadcast debates and interviews.

Having found its new home on Rue des Pyrénées between the last two lockdowns, 389 La Boutique is partly hidden by the renovations of the nearby metro station, which should continue through 2021 due to the extension of Ligne 11. However, as the arts and culture wait for better days, now is the perfect time to visit and support this new address showcasing Parisian creativity.
