On the fourth day of nation-wide protest led by trade unions against the government’s plan to reform the country’s pension system, a dense crowd of demonstrators once again marched in the streets of Paris. As the protest departed from Place de la République on Thursday, the transport strike entered its 36th day – the longest in modern French history.
